Tilden was a family owned business and one of the largest car rental companies in Canada. However, sales were flat, due to the fact they were undifferentiated from their competitors in product and offers.

Strategically, we pointed out that because Tilden is an independent Canadian company, not owned by any car manufacturers, they can and should offer cars their competitors cannot offer.

This formed the cornerstone of Tilden’s strategic business plan and marketing communications.

Over the course of the 3-year campaign, Tilden gained significant market share and was sold at premium to U.S. based National Rent-a-car.
