Kiko Sato, Programming & Electronic Entertainment Specialist

Kiko has worked with computers and technology professionally (yes, getting paid) since he was 15 years old and still in high school. During the ensuing 25 years, he has written code for monster projects like OS/2, Windows NT, IBM JPEG, CorelDraw, ATI/AMD Imageon, Motorola RAZR phone, and Electronic Arts FIFA 2009 and EA Euro 2008.

Not limited to capitalistic endevours, Kiko has worked on art projects that have won major international awards, such as the Webby Awards, and the Prix Ars Electronica Award. He may be new to the world of advertising, but has a wealth of programming and engineering expertise on platforms from PC, to Macs, to X360, to PS3 and more.

Tim Elmy, Direct Marketing Specialist

Tim’s first job in marketing involved the Globe & Mail and Conrad Black. He delivered the future Baron’s morning paper. Like his famous client, Tim’s media empire grew quickly. By age 12, he controlled the distribution of both the Globe and the Star in much of North Toronto.

At 19, he enrolled in a Creative Advertising course and worked as a janitor in an ad agency. His writing career was launched late one night when the Creative Director asked him to write a short ad for Holiday Inn. He has never looked back.

Today, Tim is an international award-winning direct and digital copywriter who brings 18 years of agency and client-side experience to the team.

He has worked in virtually all product categories and media (with the exception of sky-writing). Although his sole objective is to increase clients’ ROI, he has, over the years, been fortunate to receive a number of awards for creative excellence including:

  • 6 Canadian Marketing Association Gold Awards
  • 12 Canadian Agricultural Marketing Association Awards
  • 2 Echo Awards
  • A John Caples Award
  • A London International Advertising Award
  • 2 National Association of Major Mail Users (NAMMU) Awards, including 2007 Best in Show.

Tim’s mantra is: “It’s only creative if it sells.”

flatacre_logo

Flatacre is a music branding agency. Its purpose is to help build client brands as well as promote its own music content. Apart from its own writers, producers and existing content, Flatacre also sources original music for cooperative promotion. The music is made available for a fraction of the price of typical original music creation, production and leasing arrangements. The potential is that the music can help make the client’s brand famous and through media exposure, the brand makes the music famous. This partnership creates further opportunities such as branded music videos, entertainment based promotions, virals and live performance. The client’s brand benefits by engaging with the audience through channels which typically have not been available. There are few things more viral, engaging, or voluntarily repetitive than a good song.

reason-partners-org-logo

reasonpartners.org is a cause marketing initiative meant to inform people through third party sources; aggregate charities working in a common area; allow informed donors to select the charity of their choice; and buffer donors from potentially being harassed for further donations. It also presents an interesting alternative to media and corporate partners by way of promoting a cause in the broader sense, rather than partnering with a single charity. However, it’s the online social network that’s being organized which allows charities to interact with members extending the campaign well beyond the ability of traditional media flights.
